Back to Basics: Academy and Derby
Ready to level up your outdoor game?
Join us for three focused afternoon workshops followed by a high-energy Saturday competition.
✨ Learn the Essentials: Knots, Cordage, Edges, Fire, and Navigation.
✨ The Skills Passport: Take the class multiple times to master advanced techniques and fill your passport with achievements.
✨ The Derby: Form a team and compete for glory in a challenge that changes every single session. Register a full team or join as a solo "Free Agent" to be matched with new friends. Derby winners will be awarded individual prizes.

Bark Tanning Demos and Lessons
Have you ever wanted to tan your own hides but thought it would be too labor intensive or time consuming?
Join Barnes and Danielle at Crafted Wild and experience the magical science of Bark Tanning. In these demos or classes we use traditional techniques and natural ingredients to transform hides into durable pieces of leather, no crazy chemicals or back breaking labor needed.
Danielle is currently teaching these classes at several gatherings this year including Hazen Audel's Sawtooth Survival Gathering, Rabbitstick and Bridges to the Past's Between the River's and Fall Camp. Spring 2026 we will offer these classes at the Victor location.
Vermicomposting
Crafted Wild enjoyed hosting Montana Homsteader's Annie Bernauer. Annie and her students will explores Vermicomposting (worm composting) and built worm bins. Students left class with their own worm bins, prepopulated with a healthy bed of wigglers. Didn't get to join the class? We plan to have it again this fall.
