Bitterroot Forest Program
Bitterroot Forest Program classes are offered year round for students aged 9-17. We meet outside weekly, rain or shine, with content varying season to season. Classes emphasize primitive skills, nature awareness and traditional crafts.
Fall Session is Almost Here!
The Fall Session is currently full. Please email hello@craftedwildmt.com to get on the waitlist for future sessions.
Our Summer Session is coming to a close but we are excited to welcome new and returning students to the Fall Session of the Bitterroot Forest Program. Fall Session will run from October 1 through December 17. We will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 10:30-2:30 with the exception of October 8 and November 26 on which there will be no class.
This session we will be learning:
- Whittlin
- Winter shelters
- Fire Building and Outdoor Cooking
- Atlatl Throwing
- Bird and Plant ID
Tuition for this 10 week session will be on a sliding scale. We continue to work to keep tuition as low as possible so everyone interested can participate and as such ask families to pay at the level they can afford, no questions asked.
*Please reach out (hello@craftedwildmt.com) if tuition is a barrier to participation. We are working to create scholarship opportunities for families who need help. We can also setup a payment plan if necessary.

Fall, Winter and Spring are a wrap!
